Rhonda Birnbaum Farber, 58, died unexpectedly on Nov.17, 2012, at her home in Randolph, N.J.
Rhonda was born July 19, 1954, in Kansas City, Kan. She was confirmed at The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah. She graduated from Shawnee Mission South in 1972. Rhonda then attended New York University where she graduated summa cum laude with a double major in political science and French literature and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. She then earned a juris doctorate degree from Brooklyn Law School.
Rhonda served as house counsel for Liberty Mutual in New Jersey and as deputy attorney general for the state of New Jersey. She currently was the director of Ethics Compliance for the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
Rhonda is survived by her husband Warren Farber; her children, Emily, Benjamin and Rachel Farber, all of Randolph; her parents, Mary and Arnold Birnbaum, Lenexa; her brothers, Aaron (Greta) Birnbaum, Camarilla, Calif., Jason Birnbaum, Overland Park, and Matthew (Darylanne) Birnbaum, Alexandria, Va.; nieces, Sophia, Haley and Claire Birnbaum; nephew, Jacob Birnbaum; and cousin Elaine (Kenneth) Waterfield, Loveland, Colo.
Rhonda will forever be missed by all her family and friends. May her memory be for a blessing.
