With Medicare’s annual Open Enrollment period approaching, Jewish Family Services (JFS) is offering free, confidential, one-on-one counseling to help older adults and Medicare beneficiaries review their coverage and understand their options.

Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy (HBHA) will commemorate its 60th anniversary with a Diamond Anniversary Celebration on Tuesday, October 20, at the Kansas City Marriott Muehlebach. The community is invited to join this evening of celebration, connection, and Jewish music as HBHA marks six decades of strengthening the future of Jewish life in Greater Kansas City.

For the second year, Congregation Beth Torah is offering a b’nai mitzvah program for its adult members who have never celebrated the rite of passage. The class is also open to those who wish to repeat the b’nai mitzvah experience they marked decades ago, as well as anyone who is not yet ready to commit to leading a worship service, but wishes to learn more about the Reform Shabbat morning liturgy as it is presented in the Reform siddur, Mishkan T’filah.
