Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City’s Leadership Tomorrow summer internship program recently wrapped up its ninth year. 

A communicator and connector, Jodi Perelmuter is excited about joining Jewish Family Services as the head of its family life education efforts.

Bradley and Taly Friedman are the first to participate in each stage of the Continuum of Giving, the Jewish Community Foundation’s opportunities to engage and develop philanthropists and community leaders at all stages of life.

Jewish children from the Kansas City area are invited to enroll in the free Kehilath Israel Fred Devinki Religious School. Synagogue membership is not required.

Jewish community members will have the opportunity to prepare for the High Holy Days together at the annual community Selichot program and service on Saturday, Sept. 17. Multi-access participation will be available. 

Jewish Family Services will host a Service of Spiritual Renewal for the High Holidays at 3 p.m., Sept. 11, at Village Shalom, 5500 W. 123rd St., in Overland Park.

Jewish Family Services, in partnership with the Rabbinical Association of Greater Kansas City, continues to help those in need by hosting community food drives at its two pantry locations. 

The annual Day of Discovery will take place in person and virtually on Sunday, Aug. 21.

KU Hillel staff showed and celebrated KU Hillel’s new location just steps off campus on July 31.

For more than 40 years, the Jewish Community Foundation’s Community Legacy Fund has been a source of support for local communal organizations.
