Rita Shapiro, National Hadassah co-chair of antisemitism in the Education and Advocacy Division, will educate attendees of Beth Shalom Sisterhood PrayerWorks on Wednesday, June 28, at 11 a.m. on Zoom. The event is open to the community.
The Jewish Community Foundation’s (JCF) Jewish Leadership Education Action and Development (J-LEAD) program, a giving circle for adults in their 20s, 30s, and 40s, has granted $24,000 in support of five important community programs.

“A Transition for Everybody,” JFS’s support group for Jewish parents or caregivers of transgender children, is for parents who want a safe space to discuss what changes their children’s transitions bring to their own lives.
Following six other local governments, the City of Overland Park, Kansas, government adopted the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s (IHRA) working definition of antisemitism.
In the next three years, all Missouri school districts must have a plan in place to annually instruct students about the Holocaust.
