For 125 years, Jewish Family Services of Greater Kansas City (JFS) has worked to strengthen lives through their social work-supported food pantry, mental health care, older adult services and Jewish community support.

Naftali Tilove, a 17-year-old student at Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy, has been elected as the 38th Grand Aleph Shaliach on BBYO’s 102nd Grand Aleph International Board, one of the highest teen leadership roles within BBYO. The election took place at BBYO’s International Convention (IC) 2026 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Jewish Unforgettable Ladies Interested in Eating Together (JULIETs) will host two programs in March – a discussion about Kansas Interfaith Action (KIFA) (rescheduled from February due to inclement weather) and modern antisemitic language online.

Artwork featuring legendary Jewish actress Sarah Bernhardt will be on display at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in the exhibit “Mucha’s Muses: Sarah Bernhardt and the Spirit of Art Nouveau.” The pieces, all created by Czech artist Alphonse Mucha in the late 19th and early 20th century, often served as posters or advertisements for the French performer’s theatrical career.
