In its ongoing effort to be a resource in the community, Jewish Family Services is offering a program, “Parents and Difficult Conversations,” to help parents address the war in Israel when talking with their children.

The program will be on Tuesday, Feb. 27 in Overland Park; location information will be provided upon registration at http://bit.ly/jfssupportfeb27.

This program is focused on embracing and empowering communication in light of the ongoing war in Israel. Parents will learn tips for talking to and supporting their children during this challenging time. The program will be facilitated by Lisa Farmer, M.A., a grief counselor, community educator and engagement coordinator for Kansas City Hospice/Solace House.

"In our ever-connected world, it is hard to avoid and shelter our children,” said Jodi Perelmuter, JFS family life educator. “We're here to give you tools and strategies for healthy communication during difficult times.”
