This Passover, The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah will celebrate Shabbat with a third-night Passover Seder.

The interactive, musical Seder will be open to the community, fast-paced and fun for all ages.

The Seder will take place at B’nai Jehudah on Friday, April 7, at 6 p.m. The Seder will replace the Erev Shabbat service that evening.

“We are very excited about opening our doors to the Jewish community. Whether you don’t have family in town and want to have a larger group seder experience, or simply want another Seder option, we promise a fun, intergenerational Seder,” said Rabbi Stephanie Kramer, senior rabbi at B’nai Jehudah.

The Seder leading up to the meal will last approximately one hour, and the meal will be followed by an afikomen hunt with prizes.

“We are working hard to develop a Jewish experience that is sure to enhance your holiday,” Rabbi Kramer said. “The Seder will be filled with wonderful music led by Laura Payne and will be imbued with a strong sense of community.”

Dinner will be catered by Kim Matsil and will include matzah ball soup, apricot chicken, quinoa-stuffed acorn squash, rosemary garlic roasted vegetables, potato kugel and fresh fruit with dairy whipped cream for dessert. Most menu items are gluten free. All are welcome to bring their favorite bottle of wine to share with your table.

The cost of the meal is $36 per adult, $18 per child age 5-12, and free for children four and under.
