Jewish Experiences, a collaboration of Jewish Federation and The J, will present “Enduring Challenges, Crucial Conversations,” a facilitated conversation with Doron Krakow, president and CEO of JCC Association of North America, and Debbie Sosland-Edelman, Executive Director at Sosland Foundation.

This free event will take place on Tuesday, June 7, at 7 p.m. at the White Theatre. The conversation will be moderated by Director of Jewish Experiences, Ethan Helfand.

To register, visit thejkc.org/JCCAconversation.

Krakow and Sosland-Edelman will examine the biggest issues facing the Kansas City Jewish community. They’ll share their thoughts on the current state of the Jewish community, challenge us with ideas for how to respond to the changing needs of our diverse population, and offer insights into the trends they see locally and nationally most affecting our communities.

They will also reflect on the key findings of the recent Kansas City Jewish Community Study, consider how to engage a rapidly changing landscape of modern Jewish life, and take questions from participants.

He joined the JCC Association in 2017, bringing more than 25 years of experience with Jewish organizations to his work, and has previously held senior leadership posts with American Associates, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev; Jewish Federations of North America; and Young Judaea.

He is a vice-chair of the JPRO Network board and a board member of Tzofim: Friends of Israel Scouts. He holds an MBA from Cornell University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Rutgers University. Krakow and his family are longtime members of the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades.
