Your brain is the computer of your body, and it’s important to keep it in tiptop shape, especially as you age.

Jump online at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21 for the Learn, Laugh and Love series’ Brain Fitness workshop. The focus of this program will be how to maintain and enhance your cognitive function.

The Learn, Laugh and Love series is presented by Jewish Family Services and The Heritage Center of The Jewish Community Center, and open to the public. Due to health and safety restrictions, this will be a virtual program via Zoom

Facilitated by Denise Dias, a family & consumer sciences agent with the Johnson County — Kansas State Extension program, this workshop will include how memory works, specific strategies for remembering, and why it is essential to exercise the body and mind. The interactive program will have participants engaging in a variety of stimulating activities and brain games.

Dias is passionate about teaching and learning and enjoys sharing her expertise with the community. She  has been with the extension service since 1996 specializing in housing and indoor environment in addition to nutrition and health.
