Dave Baum, 91, was born on Feb. 11, 1920, in Lublin, Poland, and passed away on Jan. 21, 2012, in Kansas City, Mo.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, Jan. 24, at Rose Hill Cemetery. Contributions would be appreciated to Kansas City Hospice, 10100 W. 87th St., Suite 100, Overland Park, KS 66212 or a charity of your choice.
Dave was a veteran of World War II, and adviser to Nordonian AZA for many years, a very handy craftsman and a man who liked to joke with everyone.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Evelyn Lewis Baum, and by his dear daughter, Paula Baum Feldman.
Survivors include his children, Stu and Sue Baum, Missouri City, Texas; grandchildren, Stacey and Brad Uffelman, Austin, Texas, Darren Baum, Los Angeles, and Nia Feldman, Olathe; great-grandchildren, Eric and Scott Uffelman, Austin; and devoted nephews, Bruce (Brenda) Magoon, Tulsa, Steve (Ann) Magoon, Sugar Land, Texas, and Jay (Patrice) Zenitsky, Columbus, Ohio.
Dave’s family is truly grateful for the constant devotion, support, kindness and compassion shown to him by Dolly Latorre at The Atriums for over 10 years. To his special caregivers, Misty Stokes, Susan Worley, Jeff Tully and Sherry Adee, our heartfelt thanks for treating him as family and always being there for him. You all are the best!
