Larry Goldberg of Dallas, Texas, 76, was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on Nov. 26, 1949, to Nate and Joan Goldberg, of blessed memory, and passed away after a hard-fought battle with cancer on Dec. 14.
Larry married the love of his life, Carol Goldberg, on Sept. 4, 1977, and built a beautiful life together over their 48 years. They raised three children in a home built out of love, respect and kindness. His children will cherish not only his love and memories, but also his positive encouragement and motivation. His presence always brought calm, steadiness and comfort.
Larry was the quiet hero of his family, and to him there was nothing more important. As the patriarch of the Goldberg family, he showed them all each and every day through his actions and words how much he loved them all and how proud he was of each of them. The pride and joy that Larry had in his children and nine grandchildren was immeasurable. “Pop,” as they so fondly called him, was his favorite title of all time.
Larry was a successful entrepreneur who started and ran his own company, Gold Star Sales. He built his business on making lasting relationships and was beloved by all with whom he worked. He never backed down from a challenge, no matter the circumstances in business and in life. Larry was a man who worked hard, lived simply and cherished what truly mattered.
Larry is survived by his beloved and dedicated wife of 48 years, Carol Goldberg; his children Zach and Melissa Goldberg, Amanda and Brent Young and Edmund Snyder; father-in-law Barnett Solomon; brother and sister-in-law Greg and Trudie Goldberg; and sister, Francie Goldberg.
Larry is preceded in death by his beloved daughter Rebecca Goldberg Snyder; his parents, Nate and Joan Goldberg; and his mother-in-law, Teresa Solomon.
To know Larry was to love him. He will be missed beyond measure.
Funeral Services were held on Dec. 16 at Shearith Israel Memorial Park in Dallas.
