Menorah Heritage Foundation (MHF) has awarded JCRB|AJC $284,000 over 18 months to implement and expand the Better Together program, a free, dialogue-based initiative designed to foster meaningful conversations across generations, backgrounds and perspectives within the Jewish community and among the broader community.
Following a successful incubation and pilot led by MHF, the program will now be housed at JCRB|AJC, building on its proven impact while refining the program to expand opportunities for deeper engagement, connection and understanding. The renewed initiative will create intentional spaces for participants to listen, share experiences and explore the diverse voices and perspectives that make up our community.
“Better Together was created with the belief that authentic relationships and open dialogue are essential to the strength and future of our Jewish community,” said Amy Gale, MHF chief executive officer. “At a time when communities are experiencing heightened division, uncertainty and challenges to Jewish identity and belonging, investing in spaces where people can come together, listen with curiosity and build understanding is more important than ever. We are proud to support JCRB|AJC in carrying this work forward and expanding its reach.”
Through facilitated conversations and relationship-building experiences, Better Together will bring together individuals across various backgrounds to engage around shared values, lived experiences and the issues shaping our society today. The program is designed to encourage connection across differences and strengthen the fabric of society and of the Jewish community.
