Hadassah Greater Kansas City will host an educational program with Dr. Michael Sokol to teach about the prevention and treatment of diabetes.

“A Path to Better Health: Diabetes Prevention and Treatment” is presented in honor of the life, legacy and leadership of Jackye Greenberg Goldberg (z”l). 

The event will be held on Sunday, May 3, at 2 p.m. in Overland Park, Kansas. The exact address will be provided only after registration, which can be done by contacting Hadassah at (847) 205-1900 or .  

Dr. Sokol, a graduate of the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine and former dual-resident at Brown University, currently practices at the Statland Clinic. He is board-certified in internal medicine, psychiatry and endocrinology, and is a faculty member for the Internal Medicine Residency of HCA Midwest. He is also affiliated with Menorah Medical Center.

At the event, Dr. Sokol will discuss the latest news in diabetes prevention as well as modern care strategies. A dedicated Q&A session will follow. Light refreshments will be offered.

No walk-ins will be allowed, and all attendees will be required to sign a Hadassah Event Participation Release.
