Community members, Jewish leaders and elected officials gathered at the Kansas State Capitol on March 3 for Kansas Jewish Advocacy Day, a day focused on civic engagement, education and strengthening relationships between the Jewish community and state leaders.

Hosted by the Jewish Community Relations Bureau | American Jewish Committee (JCRB|AJC), the program brought together approximately 20 community leaders and nearly 30 Kansas legislators for a day of dialogue and learning about issues impacting the Jewish community.

The program provided opportunities for attendees to meet directly with legislators, discuss key findings from AJC’s 2025 State of Antisemitism Report (SOAR) and share more about the work of JCRB|AJC. Participants also heard from key leaders, including Sen. Ethan Corson and Rep. Dan Osman, who shared insights on serving as Jewish lawmakers and emphasized the importance of collaboration between community members and policymakers.

“Jewish Advocacy Day is about ensuring that our community’s voice is heard while strengthening relationships with the leaders who shape our state’s future,” said Neta Meltzer, executive director of JCRB|AJC. “When community members and elected officials come together for meaningful conversation, it builds understanding, trust and a stronger Kansas for everyone.”

The event highlighted JCRB|AJC’s longstanding commitment to civic engagement and bipartisan relationship-building. More information about JCRB|AJC and its advocacy initiatives is available at jcrbajc.org
