The Kansas City Section of the National Council of Jewish Women hosts the “Jewish Union of ‘Retired’ Ladies, Intelligent, Energetic and Sexy!” (JULIES), a cohort of retirees that meets monthly for conversations as well as periodic social outings.
JULIES (not to be confused with the JULIETS, another Jewish women’s group that meets monthly) recently toured the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art for a “favorites” tour led by its own resident docent, Jo Ann Kinney.
Barbie Rogoff, co-leader of the group, said, “We had a great, great time at Nelson Atkins Museum. This is such an amazing group of women.”
JULIES meets at 11 a.m. on the third Friday of the month at the Leawood Pioneer Library (4700 Town Center Dr., Leawood, KS 66211) in the small conference room. Attendees are invited to bring their own food and drink and “be prepared for some lively conversation.” Any retired members of NCJW or potential members are welcome to join.
