Sasone, Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City’s initiative dedicated to advancing disability inclusion, has awarded $10,000 in Inclusion Microgrants to 12 Jewish schools, congregations and community organizations across the metro area.
Funded through the Innovation Cycle of the Community Legacy Fund at the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Kansas City, Sasone Inclusion Microgrants provide up to $1,000 for direct, practical supports that help individuals with disabilities more fully participate in Jewish life and learning. Grants support tangible resources such as sensory tools, adaptive seating, accessibility equipment and regulation supports.
“These microgrants are intentionally designed to meet real, day-to-day needs,” said Lindsey Lipsky, director of Sasone. “Small, thoughtful investments can make a meaningful difference in whether a child, teen, adult or family feels regulated, supported and able to truly belong in Jewish spaces.”
“The Community Legacy Grants Committee feels a great responsibility to help enhance our Jewish community,” said Lara Krigel Pabst, chair of the Community Legacy Grants Committee. “We hope the Sasone microgrants will meaningfully expand both the breadth and depth of inclusion programming.”
