All Jewish women are invited to attend the next Jewish Unforgettable Ladies Interested in Eating Together (JULIETs) event, which will feature a presentation on Jewish medical ethics by Chabad of Leawood’s Rabbi Mendy Wineberg.

Rabbi Wineberg will discuss the relevance of the Torah in medical decisions and how rabbis continue to answer questions on medical morality. He will also cover how Jewish principles reflect Jewish beliefs and how Jewish thought has evolved regarding medicine, among other topics.

The event will be held on Sunday, Dec. 7, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Congregation Beth Torah (6100 W. 127th St., Overland Park, KS 66209). Women can reserve their seat by emailing Susie Klinock at by Thursday, Dec. 4. Admission is free, but each woman must have a reserved seat.

Attendees should bring their lunch and arrive by 12:15 p.m. to check in so the event can begin promptly. No synagogue affiliation is required to attend, and attendees should bring their own lunch or snack. Beverages and paper goods will be provided.
