Shira Bernard and Derek Jobst were married on March 8 at the Hacienda Del Sol Resort in Tucson, Arizona. Alan Edelman officiated at the wedding.

The bride is the daughter of Lisa and Jerry Bernard of Overland Park, Kansas, and the granddaughter of Marjorie Adler and the late Milton Adler; the late Myron Bernard and Audrey Rothbarth of St. Louis, Missouri; and the late Beverly Edelstein of St. Louis. Included in the wedding party were her brother Daniel Bernard of Paradise Valley, Arizona; brother and sister-in-law Drs. Benjamin Bernard and Stephanie Heimler of La Jolla, California; and brother-in-law Gavi Horwitz and sister Rachel Horwitz as matron-of-honor. Shira’s nephew, Eli Horwitz, served as ring bearer, and her nieces, Mia and Noa Horwitz, served as flower attendants.

The groom is the son of Amy Jobst and the late Christopher Jobst of Tucson. He is the grandson of Ann Volz and the late Dr. Robert Volz, the late Alois Jobst, and the late Bernadette Jobst of Tucson. Included in the wedding party was his sister, Ellie Jobst of Kansas City.

The couple lives in San Francisco, California, and their honeymoon was in Lanai, Hawaii. Shira works in medical device marketing, and Derek works as a software engineer. The couple met several years ago on a dating app.
