Max Benjamin Atlas, son of Heidi and Jon Atlas, will become a bar mitzvah on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, at The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah.
Max is the grandson of Barbara and Richard Atlas of Mission Hills, Kansas; and Trudy and Patrick Pauken of Avon Lake, Ohio. He has a sister, Sadie.
Max is a seventh grader at Indian Hills Middle School. He loves playing and watching sports, especially soccer. He also enjoys video games, LEGOs, anything airplane-related, and hanging out with friends.
For his mitzvah project, Max started an ongoing LEGO drive. New or used LEGOs can be dropped off to Summer Salt Ice Cream in Corinth Square. Max is donating the LEGOs to Jewish Vocational Services, Children's Mercy Hospital, the Ronald McDonald House, and Kansas City International Academy. Thus far, he has collected more than 60 pounds of LEGOs.
