Samantha Abigail Burns, daughter of Jennifer and Jeff Burns, will become a bat mitzvah on Saturday, May 10, at The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah.
Samantha’s grandparents are Harriet Boresow and Ann and Dennis Burns. She has nine siblings: Sydney, Anna, Taylor, Ryan, Daniel, Matthew, Thomas, Andrew and Mark.
Some of Samantha’s favorite activities include playing volleyball, basketball and soccer; watching sports; and being with friends and family. She and her brother Mark, who are having their b’nai mitzvahs on the same day, are the ninth and tenth children in their families to become b’nai mitzvah.
Both she and her brother Mark helped at a soup kitchen as their mitzvah project.
