Clayman, Albert

Albert Clayman, passed away on Monday, Nov. 20, at the age of 87, after going through a battle with cancer. He was at home with his family by his side.

Albert was born Dec. 14, 1922, in Kansas City, Mo., where he spent the majority of his life. In 1956, Albert opened Kay-Cee Enterprises with his family. He married his soulmate, Jackie, on May 26, 1976.

He was a member of Meadowbrook Country Club and Palm Valley Country Club in Palm Desert, Calif. No matter where Albert lived, he had many friends. In his spare time he enjoyed bowling and golfing, in which he had two holes-in-one in one year. He had also aspired to be a sports announcer. In October 2000, Albert and Jackie sold the family business and fully retired in Palm Desert.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jackie, and his children, Wendy Mead, Dawn Wheat, Kim Clayman, Kristen Allen, and son-in-law, Jamie Mead. He has six grandchildren, Layne, Lyuba, Michelle, Allison, Kendall and Karstan, his sister, Rose Horowitz, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and -nephews.
