An eye-opener

Lee Levin’s paean to the “incredible successes of the Trump administration…” (Trump’s successes, Dec. 28, 2017) sets the stage for an equally factual recap by Levin when the stock market corrects, consumer confidence declines, home prices drop and unemployment rises.

Most analysts feel that economic activity and changes are results of action over time, not short-term presidential decisions. The first five “successes” lauded by Levin are continuations of trends underway since 2009! The good news is accurate; Levin’s attribution to Trump is not. Also, Levin forgot to mention American’s assessment of Trump himself, which is at a record low for the first year of a president’s term … an eye-opener, I think!
