President’s Saudi trip confusing
No one can deny that President Obama’s trip to Saudi Arabia was a part of his last-minute bid to ensure his legacy.
He promised “the Gulf Arab allies weapons and support to counter Iranian influence in the region.” Didn’t we recently conclude a pact with Iran which gave it economic support? And, during his trip there was no mention of Israel, our strongest and most dependable ally in the Middle East. I am thoroughly confused! I hope his visit with the Saudis produces more positive results than his trip to Cuba and Latin America did.
