All of us were shocked and horrified that last week’s murderous terrorist attack in Jerusalem took the life of our friend Rabbi Kalman (Cary) Levine, along with that of four other victims. We have been very comforted by the outpouring of love and support people have shown, and the good memories that we all have of Kalman.

Now we would like to ask for your help in a more substantial way. Kalman left behind a large family with nine children, and they are in serious need of financial support. A tzedakah fund has been set up specifically for the Levine family under the auspices of “Kupat Ha’ir,” a recognized charity with U.S. tax-deductible status (Tax ID 20-1523797). Donations can be made through any one of the following ways:

1. Online at: www.kupat.org/contribute

2. Mail your donation to Kupat Hair 4415 14th Avenue Brooklyn NY 11219

3. Call the 24 Hour Donation Line at 1-888-587-2842

4. Send the information via fax to: 1-888-633-2188

For all methods of donation you must specify “Fund 2157 — Levine Family.” This fund has been set up specifically to assist Kalman’s family in Jerusalem.

Kalman’s family lived very modestly during his lifetime, and needs our help now. Please help us to help Kalman’s family and honor his memory by donating generously.
