Rabbi Jeffrey and Hedy Shron Photo by Scott Fishman

After 20 years of dedicated service to the Greater Kansas City community, Rabbi Jeffrey and Hedy Shron plan to make Aliyah to Israel following the High Holidays. Kehilath Israel Synagogue will honor them with a musical program and reception at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6, at the White Theatre. The event is free and the community is invited to express its gratitude to the Shrons at this event.

Since 1997, Rabbi and Hedy Shron have achieved prominence at K.I. and in the Greater Kansas City community. They have been outstanding role models of compassion by caring for congregants and friends of the congregation in times of need and have embraced congregants and all Jews and non-Jews who enter the sphere of congregational life. As hazzan and rabbi, Rabbi Shron helped create, craft and implement synagogue and community experiences that are beautiful and meaningful.

While this event is free, reservations are required by Monday, July 31. To make a reservation, email or call the synagogue office at 913-642-1880.
