Daniel Seymour Fleschman, 85, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, in Austin, Texas.
Funeral services were held at Congregation Agudas Achim in Austin. The family requests donations to Congregation Agudas Achim Religious School, 7300 Hart Lane, Austin, TX 78731.
Danny was born Feb. 12, 1928, in Kansas City, Mo., to Issie and Jennie Fleschman. He had a very successful career in ladies shoes most of his working life. He enjoyed participating in sports as a youth and attending professional sports events.
Danny held family nearest and dearest to his heart. He was very active in his synagogue, having served as its president. He had a wonderful personality and always had a lot of stories to tell.
Danny was preceded in death by his first wife, Freda Cohn Fleschman, in 1978.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah; son and daughter-in-law, Joel and Julie Fleschman; son and daughter-in-law, Sandy and Maria Fleschman; grandchildren, Ben, Noah, Jacob, Adam and Mira Fleschman, all of Austin; brother and sister-in-law, William and Roselyn Fleschman, of St. Louis, and brother and sister-in-law, Sheldon and Jackie Fleschman, of Plano, Texas.
