Burstein, Sally Tauber

Sally Tauber Burstein, born on May 26, 1922, passed away on Nov. 5, 2017.

 

Born Sally Kleinberg in Ottynia, Poland, Sally lived in the New York area for most of her life, with her husband, David Tauber, until his passing in 1969. Sally enjoyed 23 years of marriage to Reuben Burstein, until his passing in 1997. Sally’s focus and love in life was always her family. Sally spent her final years living independently in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Sally is survived by her daughter Clara (Larry) Kahn of Trumbull, Connecticut, and grandchildren Debbie (Matt) McLaughlin, David (Amy) Kahn, Melissa (Ross) Friedberg; son Joseph (Judi) Tauber of Leawood, Kansas, and grandchildren Allyson, Jessica and David; and step-daughter Renee (Neil) Funk of Chicago, Illinois, and grandson William (Sarah) Funk. Sally was blessed with thirteen great-grandchildren.

Sally will be forever in our thoughts. Memorial contributions may be sent to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
