Khatskel Shvartsblat, 93, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017, at the Kansas City Hospice House. Funeral services were held Sunday, July 2, at Louis Memorial Chapel; burial followed at Sheffield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to a charity of one’s choice.
Khatskel was born in Poland and escaped the Holocaust.
He was a very religious man and was a member of Kehilath Israel Synagogue. Khatskel was a very unselfish person and went to the Jewish Community Center every day.
Khatskel was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Klara, in 2005.
He is survived by his son: Boris Shvartsblat; his daughter: Sofia Krupnik, and grandchildren: Biana, Boris, Misha, Yelena and Luba. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
