Helen Louise Gale, 89, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away on Nov. 8, 2016.

Helen was born to Ernest and Tillie Spector on Nov. 7, 1927, in Detroit, Michigan. 

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Marvin Gale, and sister, Bernie Gitterman. 

Helen will be greatly missed by her sister and brother-in-law, Harriet and Stanley Katz of Overland Park, Kansas; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Morris Merker of Leawood, Kansas; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Steve Cline of Leawood, Kansas; son, Evan Gale of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; grandchildren, Michael and Anna Cline of Olathe, Kansas; Jonathan Cline of St. Louis, Missouri, Shealyn and Danny Milesh of Richmond, Virginia, and Autumn Bliss Gale of Boulder, Colorado; and great-grandchildren, Lilly Cline and Saryn Milesh. 

Helen was a very kind and generous person who was always positive regardless of the situation. She never complained or spoke a negative thing to or about anyone. As former members of Congregation Ohev Sholom, Helen and Marvin volunteered on a regular basis, especially at Wednesday night bingo.

Graveside services were held Nov. 11, 2016, at Rose Hill Cemetery.
