Sheldon H. Snitz, 81, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016. Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 4, at the Kehilath Israel Blue Ridge Cemetery Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kehilath Israel Synagogue, Kansas City Hospice House or the Scottish Rite Childhood Language Disorders Clinic.
Sheldon was born Nov 15, 1934, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Gus and Ann Snitz. He was employed for 33 years at KCPL. He was a lifelong active member of Kehilath Israel Synagogue, a 33rd degree Mason and past executive officer of Missouri DeMolay.
Sheldon was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Talon Mitchell.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Eunice; daughters, Debra (Scott) Levin, Elyse (Blaine) Mitchell; two brothers, Bernard (Ann) Snitz and Charles (Mary) Snitz; and grandchildren, Jordan Levin, Steele, Drake and Kitana Mitchell.
