Tracy Lynn (Talbot) Mopper, age 56, of Buffalo Grove, Illinois, formerly of Overland Park, passed away Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016. Services were held Sept. 27 at Goldman Funeral Group in Buffalo Grove, Illinois; interment followed at Shalom Memorial Park, Arlington Heights, Illinois.

 

Tracy will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, incredible strength, her delicious brownies and chocolate chip cookies and her unconditional love for her family and friends. She fought a strong and courageous battle against cancer for over 21 years. 

Tracy was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma, and raised in the Kansas City community; she graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School in 1978. In her youth, she was treasurer of her B’nai B’rith Girls chapter Ahava. Tracy attended Bradley University and was a life member of Hadassah.

She was the beloved wife and best friend for 23 years of Robert; loving and adored mother and a true hero to her daughter Rachel; devoted and cherished daughter of Hope and Marshall Talbot of Overland Park; dear sister of the late Wendy Renée Talbot; special daughter-in-law of Joan and Dr. Bud Mopper of Northbrook, Illinois; fond sister-in-law of Natalie (Eric) Rosin of Laguna Niguel, California; treasured aunt of Sam and Cori Rosin; niece of Arlene and Lynn Raskin of Scottsdale, Arizona, Barbara and Herb Simon of Leawood, Renee Eliasberg of Plainview, New York, and Myrna Feffer of Northbrook; treasured cousin and friend to many, with a special acknowledgement to Tracy’s cousin and friend Linda Brown, formerly of Prairie Village, who has been by her side throughout this arduous journey. Tracy left an indelible mark on all of our lives. 

Shiva will take place in Overland Park at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, at the home of Hope and Marshall Talbot,6001 W. 90th St., Overland Park, KS 66207).
