Cynthia T. Kusnetzky, 69, died on Monday, Sept. 22, 2014. Cindy was one of the strongest, loving and most caring persons on the face of the earth.
{mprestriction ids="1"}Funeral services were to be held Wednesday, Sept. 24, at The Louis Memorial Chapel followed by burial at Kehilath Israel Blue Ridge Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City.
Cindy was born on Oct. 25, 1944, in Xenia, Ohio. When her father completed his training in pediatric medicine the family moved to Chattanooga, Tenn., where Cindy was raised. She attended Stephens College in Columbia, Mo., graduating in 1963. She then married Phil Kusnetzky 50 years ago this past July.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Rene Tepper; in-laws, Ben and Sylvia Kusnetzky; sons, Brian and David Kusnetzky; and by her brother, David Tepper.
Cindy is survived by her husband, Phillip A. Kusnetzky; daughters, Carol (Bruce) Jerwick and Lisa Kusnetzky; grandchildren, Michael and Lindsay Jerwick, Ben Kusnetzky and his mother, B.J. Snelling, Arvada, Colo., Carter and Madison Kusnetzky, Abilene, Kan.; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Harriet and Tim Shapiro, St. Louis; many nieces, nephews and cousins; her friends, including “sister” Betty Hershman and her good friend and caregiver, Jessica Harding. All who knew Cindy enjoyed and respected her warmth and love. No one ever had a bad word to say about her.
Cindy was a lifetime member of the National Council of Jewish Women and Hadassah, an active participant in fundraising activities of the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City and the Jewish Federation and Council, and a longtime member of Oakwood Country Club and Kehilath Israel Synagogue.
