The governing body of Park University — its board of trustees — has elected four individuals to serve as members of the Board. Vince Clark, Anthony Melchiorri, Cyprienne Simchowitz, J.D., and Troy Teague were all elected to serve their first three-year term on the board, effective July 1.

Since April 2014 Simchowitz has been an honorary consul of the French Republic, serving French citizens of western Missouri and Kansas for the Consulate General of France’s Chicago office. She has also served as a member and secretary of the board for the International Relations Council of Kansas City since January 2016, and she is a member of Park University’s International Center for Music Advisory Council. Simchowitz is also a practicing attorney.

Previously, Simchowitz, a resident of Mission Hills,  was an attorney for both Polsinelli Shughart (now Polsinelli) and Shook, Hardy and Bacon, both based in Kansas City, Missouri, and she was a member and past president of Alliance Française de Kansas City. Simchowitz studied international law and economics at the University of Paris, and earned her juris doctor from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law.

Park University’s board of trustees is comprised of business, civic, educational and philanthropic leaders, as well as Park alumni and friends, who advocate on the university’s behalf.
