Doug Cohen has been named a 2023 Wealth Club Winner and is donating his $2,500 winnings for charity to Jewish Family Services (JFS).

Cohen is the deputy director of trust services at Clarfeld|Citizens Private Wealth and director of wealth management risk at Citizens Financial Group.

“As a winner of this prestigious award, I was asked to name an eligible nonprofit organization to receive a charitable donation in my name,” said Cohen, who lives in Lenexa, Kansas. “As explained internally, I chose Jewish Family Services to be the recipient for several reasons, [including] they are a United Way organization and has been honored as a four-star rated charity by Charity Navigator. The various service programs they offer include mental health and education, the JFS Food Pantry, older adult services, Kesher KC, family life education, chaplaincy, Priya, and the Family Empowerment Program. Finally, JFS has a non-discrimination policy that I believe aligns with the Citizens [Financial Group] Credo.”

As part of its award program, The Wealth Club will donate $197,000 to 82 organizations on its colleagues’ behalf during 2024.

“We are thrilled for Doug to receive this prestigious award,” JFS Chief Development Officer Debbie Bass said. “The $2,500 gift will make a positive impact for individuals and families dealing with crises and everyday challenges of life. It is deeply touching that Doug has chosen JFS to be part of his special accomplishment.”

Cohen is also connected to JFS through his wife, Susan, who is a JFS Food Pantry volunteer.
