This year marks Jewish Vocational Services’ (JVS) 75th anniversary. JVS will celebrate the anniversary at its annual fundraiser, Global Table.

The event will be held on Thursday, May 2, at The Abbott in the Crossroads (1901 Cherry St., Kansas City, MO 64108). It will feature the Kansas City Latin Jazz Orchestra and stories from throughout JVS’ history of success and resilience from immigrant and refugee communities. Diana Kander will serve as the emcee.

The event is co-chaired by Tim Riemann and Gina Lobaugh.

“As a volunteer, JVS has become my second home,” Lobaugh said. “What started as a way to help my kids fulfill some required volunteer hours for school quickly turned into an enriching journey. Every day, I'm grateful to have the opportunity to help our clients find what they need and support the mission of JVS. Global Table is an extension of that, and I am honored to be serving as a co-chair this year alongside Tim Riemann. I'm looking forward to celebrating all the good work that I get to be a part of at Global Table.”

All proceeds from Global Table will help JVS support people on their journey to self-reliance and help make Kansas City a place where all are welcomed, included and valued.

Individual tickets and sponsorship opportunities are still available. More information is available at jvskc.org/calendar/global-table-2024.
