SevenDays has chosen CommunityAmerica Credit Union CEO Lisa Ginter as its third annual Ripple of Kindness Award recipient.
Ginter will be honored during SevenDays’ 2023 Kindness Breakfast on Wednesday, April 5, and its Kindness Walk on Sunday, April 16.
SevenDays is a Kansas City-based nonprofit organization that promotes kindness and understanding through education and dialogue to overcome hate. Each April, SevenDays hosts its annual Kindness Breakfast fundraiser that provides for year-round activities to mentor, encourage and engage people in kindness throughout the Kansas City metro and beyond.
The Ripple of Kindness award recognizes someone who has gone above and beyond in demonstrating kindness through their actions and words. The honoree is someone whose impact on the community is apparent but has no expectation of reward or return. It is given annually to showcase the importance of kindness. The Ripple of Kindness recipient serves as a role model for others, especially for our youth, promoting and doing acts of kindness making a ripple to change the world.
Ginter’s selection follows previous Ripple of Kindness Award honorees Trent Green, former Kansas City Chiefs Quarterback; and Dayton Moore, former Kansas City Royals President of Baseball Operations. Moore will present Ginter with the Ripple of Kindness Award during the April 5 breakfast.
For the first time, SevenDays invited the community to nominate people for the Ripple of Kindness Award.

Of course, there were many deserving of recognition for their selflessness and contributions to society. Lisa Ginter’s capacity for kindness toward others and her heart to care for our community were undeniable as we celebrate the importance of mentoring kindness by honoring her with our annual award.”

The Kindness Breakfast will be held in The Foundry at the Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas. SevenDays’ Kindness Youth Leadership Team hosts the breakfast that highlights student winners of its annual button design competition and Kindness Action Scholarship recipients. Kansas City Royals Broadcaster Joel Goldberg and his wife, Susan, are serving as honorary chairs.

Ginter is widely recognized in Kansas City and nationally for her leadership and commitment to building a caring community. Among her many community involvements, Ginter serves on the executive boards of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce and Kansas City Area Development Council. A strong advocate for education, Ginter also serves on the Board of Trustees at Rockhurst University and St. Michael the Archangel as vice chair.
Ginter is immersed in charitable give-back through active support of those most in need across Kansas City. Her philanthropic leadership positions have advanced the community significantly, and in the last five years, Lisa has raised millions as an event chair for prominent charities including the Boys and Girls Club, Children’s Mercy Hospital, Women’s Employment Network Luncheon and Metropolitan Community College.
